Blood Bank and Blood Components Centre is situated in the
campus of Shri Ganga Charan Hospital. It is the First Private
Blood Bank of the region and has its licensure from the State
Medical and Drug Regulatory Board.
It has been instrumental in saving of thousands
of lives of road traffic victims and critically ill patients.
During epidemics of Dengue and Malaria, the blood bank with
its facilities of Plasma separator and Platelet centrifugation
has helped these patients in not only the city but also the
whole of Uttarakhand and Nepal as well. It is equipped with
all ultramodern gadgets and a blood bag capacity of 1000 bags
at a time.
It has always promoted voluntary blood donation
and also regularly organizes Blood Donation Camps in the city
and periphery. |
