Dr. Nawal Kishore Gupta is the founder Chairman of the trust and it runs various institutions like Ganga Sheel School of Nursing, Ganga Sheel Paramedical College, Gangasheel Blood Bank and Blood Components Centre and a highly reputed Air Pollution and Air Borne Disease Prevention and Therapeutic Regional Centre. The APRDC is one of its own kinds to offer treatment to not only victims of occupational hazard but also has a dedicated Sleep Lab and Respiratory Unit and Pulmonology ICU in the campus of Shri Ganga Charan Hospital.

Apart from the medical services, the trust is also involved in organizing various CMEs and Educational Programmes for the upliftment of the academics of the doctors, nursing and paramedical staff of the city and around.

The trust also runs an annual Dr. Chandra Kanta Gupta Memorial Oration which is awarded to a stalwart in the field of Medicine. It is also instrumental in conducting various Health Camps at small towns and villages of the city and also in organizing various Health Awareness Programmes like Cross-Country Race and Blood Donation Camps.
