What is CHB ?
Complete heart block (CHB) occurs when electrical signals cannot travel normally from the atria (upper chambers of the heart) to the ventricles (lower chambers). It can also occur if the atrioventricular node is damaged during surgery. However, it can also occur spontaneously without surgery. Doctors insert an artificial pacemaker to restore a normal heart rate and rhythm.
CHB can be congenital, meaning it can be acquired at birth. However, it can also occur during life.

Some people with CHB experience no symptoms at all but some have visible signs & symptoms of CHB, namely:-

Treatment for CHB depends on the severity of the problem. First-degree CHB may not require treatment. However, 2nd and 3rd degree CHB may require the implantation of a pacemaker to keep the heart beating normally.
