What is Fracture Reduction?
Reduction is a procedure to repair (replace) a broken bone without cutting the skin. The broken bone is put back in place so it can grow back in a better alignment. It works best when done as soon as possible after the bone fracture. Reduction can be performed by an orthopedic surgeon (bone doctor), Emergency room physician who is experienced in performing this procedure. There are two types of Fracture Reduction: -
