What is RTA?
Represents road traffic accidents in which a vehicle collides with another vehicle, person or object, resulting in very serious injury and death in some cases. There are many forms of RTA like speeding, running traffic lights, driving in the wrong lane, etc. can cause minor to major accidents.
There are many causes of Road accidents and some are: -
- Traffic light jumping
- Drunken driving
- Over speeding
- Avoiding safety gears like helmets and seat belts
- Lane traffic violation and wrong overtaking
- Using of electronic gadget such as mobile while driving.
There is different type of treatments according to the condition of the accidental patient: -
Medical procedure/First Aid:-
If the injury is not serious, medication can help the patient recover. Pain relievers and tetanus shots are some of the usual measures. Excessive blood loss may require a blood transfusion.
Treatment of Fractures :-
When there are fractures and bone displacements, doctors move the bone correctly into place. This is called reduction. Bone placement does not require surgery and is called closed reduction. If the patient is severely injured or has multiple fractures then he/she may be recommended for surgery.
Surgery: -
Surgery is unavoidable in severe cases.
